The Manitoba Office of the Fire Commissioner is investigating the cause of two fires on Brokenhead First Nation.

RCMP say a home and a second structure still under construction became engulfed in flames at about 4 a.m. Saturday morning.

No one was occupying either home at the time.

Damage is estimated at $300,000 and both homes are considered total losses.

The cause of the fires remains under investigation.
