A head-on crash between a pickup truck and semi-trailer truck Monday morning has claimed the life of one man.
RCMP say at about 11:30 a.m. the two vehicles collided on Highway 44 about 10 kilometres east of Beausejour.
The pickup truck driver was pronounced deceased at the scene and was the only occupant in the vehicle.
The male driver of the semi was taken to Beausejour Hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The semi caught fire on impact and was completely burnt.
Traffic was re-routed on to a nearby service road as police investigated.
