The Winnipeg Jets have agreed to terms with goaltender Ondrej Pavelec, re-signing the Czech Republic native to a five-year, $19.5 million deal.
The 24-year-old earned a 29-28-9 record, 2.91 goals against average and 0.906 save percentage while appearing in 68 games for the Jets last season. He ranked fifth in the league in overall games played as well as fifth overall in shots against (2,036) and saves (1,845).
Pavelec was originally drafted by the Atlanta Thrashers in the second round, 41st overall, in the 2005 NHL Draft.
