Scantily clad men will be turning heads in downtown Winnipeg on Wednesday to draw attention to a national campaign to collect gently used men’s dress wear.
Moores is holding the third annual Canadian Suit Drive in cities across Canada in an effort to outfit unemployed workers with professional attire.
Moores will collect gently used men’s suits, shirts, pants, jackets, ties, belts and shoes for distribution to approximately 50 local recipient organizations across the country.
To raise awareness for the cause, street teams of men dressed only in boxers, dress shoes, socks and ties, carrying signs that read: “Give The Suit Off Your Back,” will be flooding the streets of Calgary, Halifax, Montreal, Ottawa, Toronto, Vancouver and Winnipeg.
On Wednesday, men will be at the corner of Portage and Main from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Clothing donations can be made at any Moores store.
