Parking will be at a premium in downtown Winnipeg on Sunday as revellers take in Canada Day festivities.

A limited number of spaces will be available at The Forks before 5 p.m. Following that, access to the site will be limited to Waterfront Drive until 7 p.m.

After the fireworks display at 11 p.m., Main Street will be closed from Mayfair Avenue to York Avenue, and Tache Avenue will be closed from the Provencher Bridge to Rue Despins. Road closures will be in place for up to one hour.

Similar traffic congestion is expected around the Osborne Village area and along Corydon Avenue leading to Assiniboine Park.

Shuttle buses are available at some sites to get to and from celebrations efficiently and safely.
