Three boaters were rescued in northern Manitoba after becoming stranded for 16 hours.
RCMP rescued two men and a woman on Paint Lake early Wednesday morning after receiving a report they were overdue.
An aerial search by Manitoba Conservation couldn’t locate the trio, but a police vessel eventually located them after searching for six hours and covering 120 km of area south of Thompson.
RCMP say the group ran out of gas and didn’t have any means of communication on board. They were uninjured and listed in good condition.
The Mounties advise the public to plan ahead and advise family and friends of your route before going boating.
