A free fishing festival at The Forks on Saturday will show new anglers the ropes of the favourite pastime of many Manitobans.
The Winnipeg Fish Festival will include family activities, fishing seminars, contests and a fishing activity station for the kids.
The Manitoba Wildlife Federation, along with the Urban Angling Partnership, is putting on the event, which will run from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
