A rural Manitoba man has died after he was thrown from an ATV and drowned in a nearby lake.
Flin Flon RCMP said the man and a friend were riding a Yamaha Rino ATV on July 8 at about 10:15 p.m. near Schist Lake. The vehicle went into the water. One man, a 48-year-old from Flin Flon, was found at the scene with minor injuries.
The other man, a 48-year-old from Channing, Man. could not be found. He was discovered in the water a day later by the RCMP Underwater Recovery Team.
RCMP said there is no other information and the investigation continues.
