Police have arrested an 18-year-old man in the beating death of Braden Bjornson.

Police said Friday that Bjornson, 20, was walking down Machray Avenue on June 29 at about 2 a.m. There, two males approached him and a verbal fight began.

Bjornson was hit with a metal object, and the two suspects stole his money and ran away, said police.

Police were called to the scene three hours later where they found Bjornson in critical condition. He was taken to hospital where he later died.

Police said they caught up to one of the suspects July 12, 2012 at 1:35 p.m. on Magnus Avenue. The man was arrested and taken into custody.

Keagan Denzel Dick, 18, has been charged with manslaughter. RCMP caught up with the second suspect in Northern Manitoba, a 15-year-old boy. He was also charged with manslaughter and with breach of probation.
