Portage la Prairie RCMP said they have found the body of a missing Hutterite girl.
Becky Waldner, 11, drowned after the inner tube she was playing on with friends flipped in the Assiniboine River on Saturday. She disappeared under the water.
RCMP said the current was moving too fast to attempt a recovery dive at the location where she disappeared. The team searched the area using sonar equipment in an effort to locate the girl on Sunday.
They found her body Monday morning.
