Winnipeg divers pulled the body of a teenaged male out of a retention pond Tuesday afternoon.
Winnipeg police said they received a call about a teen who chased two people near Albina Park in the Tyndall Park neighbourhood. The teen then jumped into a retaining pond nearby, swimming to the middle. He swam back but jumped in again, only to slip beneath the water. He didn’t resurface.
Police searched the pond yesterday for two hours and then brought in a dive team today. The dive team recovered the body at about 1 p.m.
The teen has not been identified.
