‘Jazz on Wheels’ Returns to City Streets

July 18, 2012 7:04 AM | Entertainment

The Jazz on Wheels program will hit Winnipeg streets today, featuring local jazz musicians performing for free at community events.

The performances will begin at Shaughnessy Park School at 1 p.m. as a part of the CSI Summer Learning Program.

The music will continue August 29 at the Rossbrook Summer Games (658 Ross Avenue) at 5:30 p.m.

Jazz on Wheels is the vision of Steve Kirby, director of jazz studies at the University of Manitoba’s Faculty of Music, who wanted to introduce a unique artistic experience to young people.
