A three-time Canadian National wrestling champion has committed to join the University of Winnipeg Wesmen this fall.
Daley Forbes, 18, will join the women’s squad from Alberni District Secondary School and the Alberni Valley Wrestling Club.
The Port Alberni, B.C. native is a former British Columbia provincial champion and won multiple Vancouver Island Championships, while also capturing the North Peace Secondary School most outstanding athlete title.
“She is without a doubt one of the top recruits in the country and we are very pleased to welcome her to our program,” said Wesmen head coach Adrian Bruce.
