Man Breaks Into Home While Lone Female Resident Asleep

Police are looking for a man after he allegedly broke into a sleeping woman’s home on Young Street.

Winnipeg said the man broke into the house in the 400 block of Young Street at about 4:30 a.m. Thursday. The woman, 53, woke up to find him climbing through the living room window. The man assaulted the woman, stole some property then ran away.

The woman suffered minor injuries.

Police are looking for an aboriginal male, 30, 5’9”, medium build, short scruffy dark hair, possible slight facial hair who was wearing a black t-shirt and black pants.
