Winnipeg Police Seize Nearly $500K in Marijuana

Two men are facing drug-related charges after police raided a home in the 300 block of Burrows Avenue late Wednesday night.

The Winnipeg police tactical unit executed a search warrant on the residence at about 10:30 p.m., where they located 431 marijuana plants, 85 grams of loose marijuana, $12,000 in grow operation equipment and $825 in cash. The approximate value of the drugs seized is approximately $482,850.

Two men, aged 43 and 52, were arrested at the scene and released on a promise to appear.
