Movies in the Park is returning to Assiniboine Park this weekend, providing free screenings of family-friendly Hollywood flicks.
On Friday, August 3, “Tangled” will play at 7 p.m. on the 27-foot wide cinema located at the Lyric Theatre. “E.T.” will follow at 9:15 p.m.
It’s the second season the park is hosting movies, which drew an estimated 25,000 people in last year during its four-week run.
Movies in the Park summer schedule:
August 10 — “The Incredibles” (7 p.m.), “Pirates of the Caribbean” (9:15 p.m.)
August 17 — “Happy Feet 2” (7 p.m.), “Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone” (9:15 p.m.)
August 24 — “Dr. Seuss’ The Lorax” (7 p.m.), “Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade” (9:15 p.m.)
