Annual ‘Tools for School’ Campaign Kicks Off

July 31, 2012 7:28 AM | News

From now until September 9, Staples Business Depot, Winnipeg Harvest and the Winnipeg
Goldeyes are encouraging donations to be made to the annual Tools for School campaign.

The campaign kicked off on Monday and will distribute basic school supplies to children in need returning to school this fall.

Retired teachers will be volunteering their time this year to help out with the drive. In 2011, there were 2,189 school supply requests from client families through Winnipeg Harvest.

Donations can be made at any Staples Business Depot location, at all Winnipeg Goldeyes home games in August and at Winnipeg Harvest. For every donation at Staples locations there is a chance to win a $1,000 shopping spree.
