A Saskatoon man is facing impaired driving charges after RCMP say he allegedly clipped a flag person with his truck’s mirror while driving through a construction zone.

The incident happened Tuesday at about 4 p.m. at the Highway 10 bridge near the Swan Valley Historical Museum. The flag person did not require medical attention, but police were called to locate the pickup truck and driver.

A 1986 Chevrolet 1500 was located shortly thereafter by officers.

Charles Albert Genaille, 65, has been charged with impaired operation of a vehicle and will appear in Swan River court on September 5.

Additional charges may be laid as RCMP continue to investigate.
