Second Suspect in Kitten Killing Surrenders

August 3, 2012 12:32 PM | News

A second woman who police have been searching for in connection to a brutal attack that left a three-month-old kitten dead in July has turned herself in.

Delia Ashley Clarke, 22, surrendered herself to police on Thursday. Clarke was one of two women armed with baseball bats who attended a home in the 500 block of Pritchard Avenue on July 17 in an ongoing dispute with the homeowner.

Police say a 23-year-old woman struck the resident’s male kitten, which later had to be put down. She was eventually arrested and charged with animal cruelty and possessing a dangerous weapon.

Clarke is facing the charge of mischief under $5,000 for allegedly breaking a window of the home, as well as possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose.

She remains in custody.
