Fourteen days of multicultural fun and excitement officially gets off the ground tonight at Folklorama.

The city-wide festival from August 5-18 is serving up 43 pavilions this year, with the addition of the new Indigenous Mardi Grad Pavilion.

Visitors to previous years of Folklorama will also be happy to know the Chile Lindo Pavilion and Argentina “Tango” Pavilion are returning.

Last year, Folklorama welcomed 432,000 visitors and 20,000 to The Forks for its annual kick-off party.

Attendees can also stamp their virtual passports this year by downloading the official Folklorama app for iOS, Android and BlackBerry devices.
