The Winnipeg Art Gallery has signed on to be a venue again for next year’s Winnipeg Fringe Festival.

Ten plays were held at the WAG this season, which draw an audience of 7,692 to the downtown art gallery.

“We are told that this is very good attendance for a main venue,” said WAG executive director Stephen Borys. “It was exciting to see a steady stream of people come through our doors, people mingling in our foyer, having a latte at our new Relax coffee bar.”

Borys adds that attendance to the WAG in general was up during the Fringe Festival.

“Being a Fringe venue was a terrific experience for us, one we look forward to repeating next year.”
