The two women who died in a house fire in Winnipeg Beach last weekend succumbed to smoke inhalation, RCMP revealed on Wednesday.
An autopsy on the deceased was performed earlier today and RCMP have identified the women as Lisa Mosher, 21, from the RM of Gimli, and Alyssa Bernardin, 21, from the RM of Armstrong.
There were three people in the residence at the time of the fire early Sunday. An 18-year-old man was able to escape, but suffered burn injuries.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
