A 22-year-old woman and her two children were killed Friday in a two-vehicle crash on Highway 3.
RCMP say the crash between the woman’s Dodge Caravan and a tractor truck happened at about 7 a.m. roughly six kilometres west of Manitou.
The woman’s van drifted into the oncoming lane of the truck and collided head-on, resulting in her vehicle catching fire.
The woman, from the RM of Turtle Mountain, along with her one-year-old daughter and five-year-old son, perished in the crash.
The 31-year-old truck driver was taken to Boundary Trails Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Police continue to investigate and the highway is expected to be closed for at least another hour.
