Nominations for the 2012 Aboriginal Peoples Choice Music Awards were released Monday, casting the spotlight on dozens of talented aboriginal musical artists and performers.
Manitoba artists accounted for 27 of the nominations.
The 7th annual awards will be given out in 23 categories over two nights in November. The televised APCMA gala will air Friday, November 2 at MTS Centre, with the full broadcast on the Aboriginal Peoples Television Network. The RBC Ohshkii Awards Night takes place Thursday, November 1.
Votes are cast online by music fans and industry stakeholders. Voting will run until September 3, 2012 at 11:59 p.m. CT at AboriginalPeoplesChoice.com.
