The title of Winnipeg’s Fastest Cyclist will be up for grabs today as the Downtown BIZ searches for the fastest local pedaler.
To help promote the BIZ’s annual cycling and active transportation festival, Ciclovia, the organization is challenging anyone to hop aboard an exercise bike this morning.
Participants will pedal in front of Elite Physiotherapy Clinic, 394 Graham Avenue, at 10 a.m. The winner will be declared at 11 a.m. and the top three finishers will win Olympic prize packages courtesy of The Bay Downtown, and will also step on the winner’s podium. The first 70 participants will receive a free voucher for Starbucks’ tall brewed coffee and a bagel at the Graham and Kennedy location.
Ciclovia is an eco-friendly, healthy-lifestyle festival and active transportation initiative that will see the north side of Broadway closed from Osborne to Main Street on Sunday, September 9.
