Bob Rae
Federal Liberal leader Bob Rae is in Winnipeg this weekend, where he’ll attend Folklorama and bolster support for a local party candidate running in the Fort Whyte byelection.
Rae will visit the Portugese, Philippine and Spirit of Ukraine Pavilions tonight with Winnipeg North Liberal MP Kevin Lamoureux.
On Saturday, Rae will be mainstreeting with Fort Whyte candidate Bob Axworthy at the McGillivray Boulevard Costco from 1:15 p.m. to 1:45 p.m.
Later in the afternoon, Rae and Axworthy will attend a BBQ at the Whyte Ridge Community Centre from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m.
The byelection is September 4. Other candidates include PC Party leader Brian Pallister and the NDP’s Brandy Schmidt.
