Manitoba Bisons volleyball player Taylor Pischke is one half of the new women’s Canadian champions in beach volleyball.
Pischke and her teammate, Toronto’s Melissa Humana-Paredes, defeated defending champions Heather Bansley and Liz Maloney of Toronto at this past weekend’s 2012 Volleyball Canada Beach Nationals in Vancouver.
The thrilling victory saw the women win 21-16, 19-21, 21-19 on Sunday at Spanish Banks Beach as part of the three-day tournament.
Pischke, 19, is a 6’1” left side hitter player who returned to Manitoba to begin playing in the 2012-13 season after one season at the University of California (Santa Barbara) in 2011-12.
