Bus Drivers Vote in Favour of New Contract Offer

The wheels will keep rolling on school buses in the Winnipeg School Division in September.

Drivers with UFCW Local 832 ratified a new collective contract agreement with First Canada on Sunday, voting 66 percent in favour of the offer.

The three-year deal sees improvements in wages for the drivers who have moved from a flat rate to an hourly rate.

On August 13, members rejected the latest offer, causing concern for some parents in the division in regards to bus transportation for their children.
