The University of Manitoba will welcome 110 students into the Faculty of Medicine’s Class of 2016 today.
The faculty will see 106 Manitobans in the class, and four from out-of-province.
“The Faculty of Medicine strives to attract and retain the best and brightest Manitobans,” said Brian Postl, Dean of Medicine. “We continue to focus our efforts on attracting students with diverse backgrounds, and rural attributes, as these will have a positive impact on future health care delivery across the province.”
The ceremonial donning of the white coats will happen at 11 a.m. in the Basic Medical Sciences Building at 727 McDermot Avenue.
