A first of its kind festival in Manitoba will celebrate Filipino culture and heritage this weekend in Winnipeg.

The Manitoba-Filipino Street Festival will have 35 associations and groups participating, wearing indigenous costumes, riding on floats and showcasing dance and pageantry talent.

Cultural booths and information tables around the area will be available for the public to visit.

The festival will run Saturday from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. in the back parking lot of Garden City Shopping Centre.
