Three Winnipeg Goldeyes players picked up hardware prior to the start of tonight’s regular season game at Shaw Park.

Outfielder Chris Roberson and infielder/outfielder Josh Mazzola were been named co-winners of the Budweiser Most Valuable Player Award, based on the player of the game selections by the media during the season.

Catcher Luis Alen was awarded the Rogers Player of the Year Award, as voted by the fans.

Earlier on Monday, the American Association named Goldeyes pitcher Matt Rusch the league’s Pointstreak Pitcher of the Week for the week ending September 2.

Winnipeg begins their best-of-five American Association Divisional Series against the RedHawks on Wednesday in Fargo, followed by Game 2 on Thursday.
