RCMP in Shamattawa are investigating a homicide following the death of a 19-year-old local woman on Sunday.
The woman was in medical distress and taken to the local nursing station where she later died.
An autopsy was performed on her body in Winnipeg on Monday, but the cause of death isn’t being released at this time.
RCMP say a male has been arrested in connection to the incident, but no charges have been laid.
UPDATE: September 12, 2012 — The deceased has been identified as Tatum Lee Miles of Shamattawa. Her common law husband, Robert Riley Napoakesik, also 19, has been charged with manslaughter.
