Organizers of the second annual Woof Walk have put out an urgent call for registrations for this year’s event after seeing a drop in participants from last year.
D’Arcy’s A.R.C.’s Woof Walk is a two-kilometre walkathon for dogs and their owners (and non-dog owners) on Saturday, September 15 in Kildonan Park. This year’s fundraising goal is $25,000 in support of the animal rescue shelter.
Last year attracted 200 people for the walk, which also includes a dog agility demonstration, BBQ, raffle, face painting and vendor market.
The Woof Walk is from noon to 2 p.m. Registration is at 11 a.m. The cost to register is $10 per person online or at D’Arcy’s A.R.C., 730 Century Street.
