The pilot of an ultralight plane wasn’t injured Wednesday morning when his aircraft made a forced landing on Highway 6.
The 75-year-old Ashern man experienced mechanical difficulties and tried to land at a nearby air strip at about 8:20 a.m. RCMP say while descending, the plane hit a hydro line and was forced to land in a field about six kilometres south of Ashern.
No power outages were reported in the area because of the crash.
RCMP and the Transportation Safety Board are investigating.
