The accolades continue to pour in for Manitoba Bisons football athlete Nic Demski.

The University of Manitoba kick returner/running back was selected as the CIS Special Teams Football Athlete of the Week on Wednesday.

Demski started the 2012 campaign with a 96-yard punt return TD at the start of the third quarter to put the Bisons ahead by ten points on September 1 in a game against the UBC Thunderbirds. His effort led to the then unranked Bisons road win at then No. 7-ranked UBC by a score of 31-24.

The 18-year-old was also named Canada West Special Teams Football Athlete of the Week and Smitty’s Bison Sports Male Athlete of the Week.

The Herd hosts Saskatchewan on Saturday at 1 p.m. in their home opener.
