A fire that destroyed a hardware store in Virden last Saturday has been contributed to arson.
The fire broke out just after 3:30 a.m. and also damaged a four-unit residence behind the business as well as a building beside the store.
Damage estimates are expected to be in excess of $2.5 million.
No one was injured in the fire and police continue to investigate.
