Sasquatch Bush Crawl Planned for Saturday in Kenora

September 27, 2012 6:54 AM | Sports

The Kenora Nordic Trails will be a buzz this weekend as a non-competitive 5K run/walk is set to take place.

The annual Sasquatch Bush Crawl at Mt. Evergreen Ski Club is on Saturday in the western Ontario city. Participants will begin racing at 3 p.m.

Teams are encouraged to wear white for a powdered paint and water toss to get the event going. Organizers say the objective is to be creative and have fun.

Funds raised will go towards the KACL Endowment Fund.

Following the run, a beer garden with entertainment will be open, plus activities for children from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. A taco dinner will be served from 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Tickets are $10 for adults or $5 for children.
