No one was injured in a fire that began in the basement of the former Canada Post building in downtown Winnipeg on Monday.
Crews were called to the scene on Graham Avenue just before 1:30 p.m. The building is currently being renovated to outfit the future home of the Winnipeg police.
Streets in the immediate area had traffic detoured, including along Garry Street, Graham Avenue, Smith Street and St. Mary Avenue.
The fire took crews about 45 minutes to extinguish. The cause remains under investigation.
