A single-vehicle rollover in the RM of South Cypress over the weekend has claimed the life of a 15-year-old girl.
RCMP say the teen was one of four people travelling in a 2005 Chevrolet Avalanche when it lost control and rolled into a field on Sunday night just before 10 p.m. The crash happened on Road 81W just south of Glenboro.
The vehicle was carrying two males and two females, including the 16-year-old driver. One of the passengers, the 15-year-old girl, was not wearing a seat belt at the time. She was transported to Glenboro Hospital where she succumbed to her injuries.
No other serious injuries were reported by the other three in the vehicle. Driver inexperience is also believed to be a contributing factor in the collision.
Police continue to investigate.
