Osborne Village (TED GRANT / CHRISD.CA FILE)
Osborne Village will be bustling more than usual this weekend as it hosts the first annual Taste of the Village event.
Held by the Osborne Village Business Improvement Zone, restaurants and retail stores will offer samples and sales from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday, October 6.
“The Osborne Village BIZ hopes that Taste of the Village will become an annual event for Winnipeggers to attend,” said Teresa Sanderson, executive director of the BIZ. “The event is completely free for the public. We want people to come and have an opportunity to sample everything that the Village has to offer.”
Some participating restaurants include Burrito del Rio, Fude, Bangkok Thai, Unburger, Sukhothai, Dead Fish Café, and The Billabong Gastropub. More restaurants will be added closer to the event.
