FMG Dragon Boat Festival (HANDOUT)

The first FMG Dragon Boat Festival held by the CancerCare Manitoba Foundation and the Children’s Hospital Foundation of Manitoba brought in $303,527 for pediatric cancer.

The festival, held at the beginning of September, will see its proceeds benefit pediatric cancer programs, including clinical trials. More donations continue to pour in through the foundation’s website as well.

“This event was truly a team effort,” said Annitta Stenning, executive director of CancerCare Manitoba Foundation. “Everyone can feel good about the fact that every cent of this money is staying in Manitoba to help young Manitobans with cancer.”
