Damage is estimated at $200,000 after a fire broke out at the Applebee’s restaurant on Pembina Highway Sunday night.
The fire began in the kitchen at around 8:30 p.m., forcing the evacuation of the restaurant. Firefighters could be seen on the roof of the building trying to gain access to the attic area.
The establishment suffered extensive water and smoke damage, according to a fire official.
There were no injuries as a result of the fire.
