A 90-year-old Morden man has been killed following a two-vehicle crash on Highway 12 Wednesday afternoon.
The collision happened at about 5:15 p.m. at the junction of Road 40N in the RM of Hanover.
RCMP say the man’s vehicle was travelling westbound on Road 40N and attempted to cross Highway 12 when it was struck by a northbound minivan. The driver of the car was found deceased at the scene, while his female passenger was airlifted to a Winnipeg hospital with unknown injuries. The 29-year-old Blumenort man driving the minivan wasn’t injured.
Alcohol is not considered a factor in the crash.
Traffic in the southbound lanes of Highway 12 was rerouted around the crash site.
