A 24-hour gaming marathon will see thousands of gamers around the world come together for a great cause on Saturday.
Called Extra-Life, the initiative will raise funds for sick children from the comforts of their own homes. The Children’s Hospital Foundation of Manitoba will be on the receiving end of the local generosity.
“We are super excited about this brand new fundraiser coming into Manitoba,” said Gary Rozak, the foundation’s director of development.
“By taking part in the Extra-Life marathon you are helping the children of Manitoba.”
Participating gamers will play anything from video games, to board games, to even cellphone games for 24 hours while collecting pledges from family and friends.
