A special fundraising dinner in support of University of Winnipeg Wesmen student-athlete scholarships is planned for later this week.
The “Stand Up For Students” dinner is on Thursday, November 1 and will not only support student-athletes, but also honour the new Faculty of Kinesiology at the U of W.
Dinner will be prepared by some of Winnipeg’s finest chefs, led by Alexander Svenne of 7 1/4. Each chef will prepare a dish to be paired with a beverage and served to guests gathered inside the Fort Garry Brewery. Although seating will be available, the meal is a “stand-up” affair, allowing guests to mingle and tour the brewery while enjoying a great evening that will include several fun activities.
Joe Aiello, morning show host at 102.3 Clear FM, will host the evening.
Tickets are $150 at store.wesmen.ca. A tax receipt will be provided.
The reception and brewery tours begin at 6 p.m., with dinner following at 7 p.m.
