Curl Manitoba has signed a 10-year broadcast deal with Sportsnet.
The agreement, announced Tuesday, will see the network air Manitoba men’s and women’s provincial championships, the Safeway Championship and Scotties Tournament of Hearts presented by Monsanto.
The coverage will begin in January with the Scotties from the Veterans Memorial Arena in Stonewall, Manitoba. The semi-finals and championship final will also be broadcast, with specific dates revealed in the future. The first semi-final game will be Saturday evening, January 2013, 2013 followed by the second semi-final and championship final on Sunday, January 27.
Sportsnet already broadcasts the Manitoba Provincial Championship coverage with the Safeway Championship from the Yellowhead Arena in Neepawa.
The deal ends Curl Manitoba’s longtime partnership with Shaw TV.
