It’s volleyball season at the University of Manitoba and the Bisons are ready for their first home games of the season.
In an unusual Thursday night matchup, both the men’s and women’s teams will host the Calgary Dinos at Investors Group Athletic Centre this evening.
The Bison women’s team goes into action ranked No. 5, while the men are ranked No. 4.
The men went on the road and defeated the Winnipeg Wesmen by a 3-0 score on Thursday, October 25 to start the conference season. The #9 Calgary men’s team split a home-and-home series and holds a 1-1 record heading into this series. Manitoba’s Joseph Brooks is first in Canada West blocks at 2.67 per set and co-captain Dane Pischke is tied for fourth in Canada West with 2.67 digs per set.
Game times are 6 p.m. (women) and 8 p.m. (men). Both teams play again on Friday night.
