The headlining acts for Dauphin’s Countryfest were announced Tuesday, setting the stage for some big-name performers for the 24th annual festival, being held June 27-30, 2013.
Econoline Crush will open the four-day festival on Thursday, June 27 performing at the Credit Union Corral.
Dierks Bentley will perform Friday, followed by Emerson Drive, Kip Moore, The Harpoonist and the Axe Murderer and Kira Isabella. Luke Bryan, Thompson Square, Florida Georgia Line and Don Amero will hold down the entertainment on Saturday, while country star Carrie Underwood and High Valley wrap things up on Sunday.
“We’ve got the hottest new country stars for our fans,” said Eric Irwin, president of Dauphin’s Countryfest. “We make it our goal each year to go out and sign great current acts with the biggest new hits. That’s what makes Countryfest today’s favourite country music festival, and Canada’s longest running country music festival.”
Tickets go on sale Monday, November 19 at 9 a.m. through Countryfest.ca, by calling 1-800-361-7300, or in-person at Dauphin’s Countryfest office (28 2nd Avenue NE in Dauphin).
Winnipeg fans will be able to see Carrie Underwood before Countryfest, as she performs May 15 at MTS Centre.
