Neepawa Gets MTS’ Fibre Optic Network

November 6, 2012 7:48 AM | News

Neepawa residents now have access to faster Internet speeds and better television selection thanks to fibre optic technology.

MTS has flicked the switch on its FiON Network — one of several being rolled out throughout rural Manitoba.

“Technology is important to the growth of our community,” said Neepawa Mayor Ken Waddell. “We appreciate the investment MTS is making in Neepawa and look forward to the many benefits its fibre-optic network will bring us.”

MTS will spend $125-million over the next several years to deploy its fibre-to-the-home network to 120,000 homes.
