A new survey on behalf of Virgin Mobile Canada reveals Canadians are using their smartphones more than ever to manage their relationships.
Leger Marketing found one in four young Canadians say adding someone to Facebook is how they usually make the first move, ranking it the second most common way to connect with someone who is more than “just a friend.” Overall, when connecting with a love interest or significant other, 62% of young Canadians say yes to text, and 40% believe that texting has made their love life better.
The survey also found that those living in Manitoba and Saskatchewan are “too sexy to be shy.” When it comes to sending sexy messages, 42% of them admit to this steamy behavior.
Those living in Atlantic Canada, about 78% of Maritimers asked, said they use text messaging to keep in touch with a love interest or significant other.
Virgin Mobile also says that 30-34 year olds are the most likely group to send “sexy texts” while on the clock.
